Meet Dr. Chamberlin
Amanda Chamberlin, O.D. is licensed as both a therapeutic optometrist and an optometric glaucoma specialist. Dr. Chamberlin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Westmont College in 2015. Afterward, Dr. Chamberlin completed her optometric education at the University of Houston, College of Optometry, where she graduated in 2019.
Throughout optometry school, Dr. Chamberlin was actively involved in volunteer work, providing vision screenings to nearby schools. She also earned her student fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry. Her externships during optometry school were completed at Lakeline Vision Source, a private practice in Austin, the University Eye Institute in Houston, and the Fort Worth Eye Clinic. During her diverse set of rotations, Dr. Chamberlin was able to gain valuable experience in ocular disease management, such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration, primary care optometry, pediatrics, contact lenses, dry eye disease, neurological eye disease, and eye care for people with special needs.
Directly after graduation, Dr. Chamberlin worked at a private practice here in the DFW area, before joining our team in late 2020. She is actively involved in the American Optometric Society and the Texas Optometric Society. She is able to perform eye exams in Spanish.
