Meet Dr. James

Michael James, OD, is licensed to practice Therapeutic Optometry and is certified as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and Texas Optometric Association.

Dr. James attended the University of Houston College of Optometry where he received his Bachelor of Science degree, Doctorate of Optometry, and completed his Therapeutics and Glaucoma studies.

For ten years, Dr. James worked with Dallas Eye Care as a full-time Doctor of Optometry for before the practice joined Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas in 2017. He provides low vision exams, LASIK screenings, cataract surgery pre and postoperative care, and treatment of glaucoma, diabetes and ocular emergencies at our Dallas and Gun Barrel City offices.

Dr. James is a proud member of the First Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Dallas Historic Preservation, and the Dallas Museum of Art.
